Buddy and Beverly Thompson began E. E. Thompson Photography as a full-time studio in 1988 in Senatobia, Mississippi. The former educators, Buddy, a community college English teacher, and Beverly, a high school English and business teacher, took a wonderful hobby and part-time business and turned it into a profession. In 2003 Thompson Photography moved to Grenada, Mississippi.  Since both Buddy and Beverly were born and reared in Grenada and were graduated from Grenada High School (John Rundle High School) before continuing their educations at Mississippi State University, this was a move back home.

Over the years, the Thompsons have been very active in many areas of the photography profession.  Their experience of more than 20 years has moved them to the forefront of photographers in Mississippi. Buddy is one of only 13 PPA Certified Professional Photographers in Mississippi. They are very active in continuing their photographic education through memberships in several professional organizations:

          Professional Photographers of America; 

          Professional Photographers of Mississippi & Alabama;

          Southeastern Professional Photographers Association; 

          North Mississippi Professional Photographers Association;  

          National Association of Photoshop Professionals.
